Arkansas Foodbank’s SNAP Help Center Program
We are a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who can help Neighbors apply for SNAP, completely over the phone. Once they book an appointment, we’ll fill out the SNAP Application on their behalf and assist them throughout the SNAP Application Process.

How does the SNAP Help Center make it easier for neighbors??
Usually, our appointments can be less than 30 minutes, and the Neighbor doesn’t need to do anything besides answering our questions. Offering these over-the-phone applications offers an easier way to complete the application at a convenient time and without going to a DHS Office, as well as more help to assist with turning in documents, renewing your benefits, and more.
If a neighbor has issues with their EBT card, can I tell them to go to you?
Unfortunately, we can’t reissue EBT Cards, see what is going on with someone’s benefits, or any other issue, as EBT Cards are only viewable and accessible by DHS or the EBT Vendor, but we can help them find the right phone number to contact a DHS representative and fix the issue with their card!
How do neighbors book an appointment with one of the SNAP Help Center team members?
They can go to our Arkansas Foodbank SNAP webpage at https://arkansasfoodbank.org/snap/, scan the QR code on one of our materials, or text and call the 870-532-8151 number. That will start a Screener that will see if they’re eligible and allow them to book an appointment time with one of our team members!
Can partner agencies still be trained on how to do SNAP applications?
No, that is a service that we no longer offer! While we did train agencies on how to do SNAP Applications at their locations before, we have since moved to the fully online Application system that allows Neighbors to have the best opportunity to protect their privacy and dignity. We do not recommend applications being done on-site due to privacy concerns for the Neighbor, and the process can also be time-consuming, so we will not ask any Partner Agency to offer that service for their community.
Where can I get SNAP materials from Arkansas Foodbank?
By emailing Adrien Mitchell, the SNAP Coordinator, at amitchell@arkansasfoodbank.org and letting him know which materials you would like to have and the amount you would like to have! Adrien will coordinate with you on either delivering or pick up for the materials!
