SUMMARY:Hunger Heroes
DESCRIPTION:Hunger Heroes = Children and Young Adults fighting childhood hunger in Arkansas!\nCurrently\, 1 in 4 kids in Arkansas are at risk for hunger and we’re working to change that. We’re looking for kids and teens in central and southern Arkansas who want to be Hunger Heroes and help us fight childhood hunger. Each child or young adult that participates will have the opportunity to raise important funds for our Backpack Program\, Out of School Feeding and School Pantries. \nEach Hunger Hero is encouraged to find unique ways to raise funds. Host a bake sale\, collect change at your school or get family and community members involved – be creative! \nHow it Works:\n\nEach Hunger Hero will have their own fundraising page and will be able to track their progress along the way. Sign up now until  January 21\, 2022.\nAttend the virtual kick-off event on February 8 to celebrate the first day of fundraising!\nHunger Heroes can attend a special volunteer event on Saturday\, February 15th at Arkansas Foodbank.\nHunger Heroes will accept donations through March 10 and join the virtual wrap-up celebration on March 11!\nThe person/group that collects the most donations in their division will win a prize pack!\n\nAll Hunger Heroes will be invited to join us for a Food For Kids Pack-a-thon in September or December to help pack backpacks with food they helped fund through Hunger Heroes. \nPresenting Sponsor\n\nCounties we serve: Arkansas\, Ashley\, Bradley\, Calhoun\, Chicot\, Clark\, Cleburne\, Cleveland\, Conway\, Dallas\, Desha\, Drew\, Faulkner\, Garland\, Grant\, Hot Spring\, Independence\, Jefferson\, Lee\, Lincoln\, Lonoke\, Monroe\, Montgomery\, Ouachita\, Perry\, Phillips\, Pope\, Prairie\, Pulaski\, Saline\, Union\, Van Buren\, White

SUMMARY:6th Annual Harvest Night
DESCRIPTION:We’ve made the tough decision to cancel Harvest Night\, originally scheduled for September 18\, due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in our area. Since this is a family-friendly event that encourages kids under the age of 12 to attend\, we believe this is the best way to keep these young people safe. While the in-person event may be cancelled\, the Foodbank will still host an online auction providing folks with ample opportunities to shop for yourself\, your friends and family while supporting the mission of the Foodbank. \nWhen you support the Foodbank\, you’re ensuring that people in its 33-county area have a place to go to find food. You’re turning what may feel like an impossible situation around\, and providing hope to these families that just need some extra help making ends meet. In a world where plenty of food is available\, the Foodbank works to make sure children\, families and seniors have enough food to eat. Every day\, at every meal\, in every household. \nQuestions?
