SUMMARY:Giving Tuesday Telethon

From 5 AM to 10:30 PM\, you can call in to give to help us continue fighting hunger across our 33 county service area and make the difference our neighbors need. \nTune in to KARK 4 from: \n5:00 am – 7:00 am\, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm\, 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm\, 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm\, 6:00 pm – 6:30 pm\, and 10:00 pm – 10:30 pm. \nTune in to Fox 16 from: \n7:00 am – 9:00 am\, 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm\, 6:30 pm – 7:00 pm\, and 9:00 pm – 10:00 pm. \n  \nDonate Now! \n  \n \n  \nWHY SUPPORT THE ARKANSAS FOODBANK? Over 460\,000 Arkansans may not know where their next meal is coming from. We find pathways to connect people\, resources and food to reach those in need\, providing dignity\, hope and a brighter future for all Arkansans. In addition to ensuring vital\, life-sustaining nutrition is provided to those in need of food assistance\, we are also one of the most efficient nonprofits. \n  \nWHAT CAN A DOLLAR DO: For every $1\, we can provide food for five meals. From our partnership with Feeding America and those in the food and grocery industries\, we are able to acquire food for pennies per pound. \n  \nEFFICIENT USE OF FUNDS:  The Foodbank is very efficient.  We operate with an extremely low overhead. Approximately 94 cents of every $1 goes into hunger relief programming\, which means\, food acquisition\, distribution\, and programming. \n  \nHISTORY IN FIGHTING HUNGER: The Arkansas Foodbank is the foundation in the fight against hunger. We are the largest food bank in the state serving over 280\,000 people a year with 62\,000 meals a day. \n  \nHELPING EVERY COMMUNITY: We have over 300 local partners that help carry out our mission throughout our 33-county service area. By supporting us\, you are also supporting those nonprofits as well. \n  \nThank you to the Sponsors of the Giving Tuesday Telethon: \n\nWalmart\nBank of America\nAgHeritage\nFirst Security Bank\nKimberly Clark\nArkansas Health and Wellness
