SUMMARY:22nd Annual Empty Bowls
DESCRIPTION:We will celebrate the 22nd anniversary of Empty Bowls on Saturday\, May 18\, 2024\, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Venue at Oakdale in Sherwood. Empty Bowls will honor a long-time supporter Philip Tappan\, for his dedication to the Foodbank’s mission. \n\nAt the 2024 Empty Bowls\, guests will be transported to the Golden Age of Hollywood. The night will begin in our new speakeasy with an atmosphere of jazz music and the clinking of specialty cocktails. Guests will then enter the main venue space for a sit down dinner and the Empty Bowls program. We encourage guests to play along with our theme by wearing your favorite classy and vintage red carpet attire. Picture Marilyn Monroe and Cary Grant at a premiere – crisp suits and floating silks\, velvets\, and satins. \nIn honor of the Arkansas Foodbank’s 40th Anniversary\, there will be an art feature at Empty Bowls. Artists from Arkansas\, Missouri\, and England have donated bowls that will be on display at the event.
