The Summer Cereal Drive provides non-perishable breakfast items that are both nutritious and kid-friendly for children and families in Central Arkansas who would otherwise go without the most important meal of the day – breakfast.
There are two ways to participate in Summer Cereal Drive. You can come to our community sites and drop off your donations or you can create a team! Get your friends, family or coworkers together and form a team to compete in our drive. You can collect cereal, breakfast items and money during the month of June and then bring it on the designated drop off day to see which team brings in the most for each division!
September is Hunger Action Month – a month where people all over America stand together with Feeding America and the nationwide network of food banks to fight hunger. It’s a month to spread the word and take action on the hunger crisis, and dedicate ourselves to a solution. Will you join in?
More details and a month long calendar of events can be found here.

KARK Channel 4 will host an all day telethon benefiting the Arkansas Foodbank. The telethon will last from 5 am – 11 pm and will be featured live on air during KARK’s morning, mid-day and evening newscasts. KARK generously runs promotional ads all week, highlighting our efforts to fight hunger in Arkansas. The money raised from this year’s telethon will allow the Arkansas Foodbank to continue to support over 420 partner agencies in our 33 county service area that provide food in their local communities.
