The Arkansas Foodbank has partnered with Girl Scouts – Diamonds to create the Hunger Fighter Patch Program!
Troops will learn about hunger, volunteer with the Foodbank and host a small food drive to help with hunger in their communities!
There are 3 steps to earning the patch for your Troop. Check off the following and then fill out the form in the last step!
- Step 1: Download the curriculum at the bottom of the page for your Troop and set aside some meeting time to talk about hunger in Arkansas and complete the curriculum
- Step 2: Sign your Troop up to come volunteer with us! We have set aside two “Girl Scout Days” in our warehouse . You can register for those here. If neither date works for your Troop, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Amber Bryant, to schedule your own volunteer time at 501-569-4320. EVERY girl will need a signed waiver to participate in the warehouse, please see below.
- Step 3: Host a food drive! This doesn’t have to be a large food drive, but we just want Troops seeing the impact they can have by collecting food for their hungry neighbors. You can download the food drive manual here to see the list of our top needed items and to get ideas about how to promote your drive! When you finish your drive, to set up a drop off date contact Emily Gassman at 501-569-4349.
- Step 4: Fill out the form here to complete the Hunger Fighter Patch!
