Arkansas Feeds for #ArkansasGives
ArkansasGives is a statewide movement that urges Arkansans to spend a day focused on the vital work of charitable organizations in their communities. On Thursday, April 6th, the Arkansas Foodbank hopes you join us in providing hope to thousands of children, families, and seniors through the gift of nutritious meals.
The Foodbank is the foundation in the fight against hunger. We are the largest food bank in the state covering 33 counties and serving over 280,000 people a year with 57,000 meals a day. Last year with ArkansasGives, we raised enough money to provide 300,000 meals! This year we are aiming for more and really hope you’ll be a part of reaching that goal.
All you have to do is choose “Arkansas Foodbank” at ArkansasGives.org and make your donation between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8.p.m. Just one dollar equals 5 meals!
As a special incentive to give, each gift made through ArkansasGives on April 6, 2017 will be matched with additional bonus dollars; the more you give, the more bonus dollars we will receive. It means you’ll give a senior citizen healthy meals for three days instead of one, and a single mother of two can serve her family for a day just with one dollar.
Nothing can measure what it means to help everyday people take control of their lives. For these Arkansans, hope is a hot meal, a bag of groceries, a well-nourished child. Choose the Foodbank during Arkansas Gives on April 6th.
