What are the age requirements to volunteer at the Arkansas Foodbank?
Volunteers must be 8 years of age or older to volunteer. Anyone 8 to 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and must submit a youth volunteer consent form signed by their parent or guardian. Anyone 16 years of age or older are not required to be accompanied by an adult. Volunteer consent forms will be emailed to you after you register for an opportunity as a part of the registration confirmation email. If you do not receive the registration confirmation email please send us an email.
Group sizes are limited to 25 people at the Volunteer Operation Center. If you have more than 25 people in your group you will need to choose multiple shifts or dates to accommodate your group size. You can submit the size of your group once you submit the required group request form. This form is located by clicking “Sign Up Organization” on each listed volunteer opportunity.
Where are volunteer opportunities located?
We currently offer volunteer opportunities across our service area. We offer opportunities at 3 Foodbank locations in Little Rock, Warren, and Lexa AR. We also have mobile distributions and special event opportunities available across our 33 county service area. Why do I not see the date that I want to request?
Available dates can change according to the event, number of openings, holiday schedules, etc. Dates are normally available one to two months prior so it may be possible that dates in the future have not been open for registration. Please contact us if you have questions about dates not listed.
How to sign up for Court Provided Community Service Hours?
The Arkansas Foodbank does provide service hours for anyone needing to complete court-provided community service hours. This service opportunity can be found by clicking on the service project link and following the steps to apply to participate in this project. Once your application is received, the Volunteer Coordinator will contact you about the next steps. Please bring all required court-provided documents to your volunteer service day.
