We believe the fight against hunger begins with the knowledge of the need! Educate the next generation of Arkansans about the need in our state and the Arkansas Foodbank’s role in fighting hunger by using one of our food insecurity lesson plans.
The Arkansas Foodbank would love for your group to join the fight against hunger by learning about food insecurity and the Arkansas Foodbank’s role. Speaking engagements can range from a short talk about the purpose of the Foodbank to hour-long interactive lessons exploring the root of food insecurity. Currently, we offer interactive lessons for 1st-12th grade.
Speaking engagements are free of charge, but we do ask that groups participate in at least one action step to support our hunger-fighting efforts (food drive, fund drive, volunteer shift, etc.)
Volunteer at the Arkansas Foodbank with your class, club, or on your own! Arkansas Foodbank is happy to track and verify volunteer hours for students. Shifts are available Monday-Friday from 9am-12pm and 2-4pm with some evening and weekend availability.
