December Corporate Partner of the Month: Bank of America
For more than 20 years, Bank of America has been committed to fighting hunger in central and southern Arkansas through their partnership with Arkansas Foodbank, and this month, we honor them as our Corporate Partner of the Month! Bank of America values strengthening communities by addressing key issues that are fundamental to economic opportunity and social progress.
Heather Jones, President of Arkansas for Bank of America, is proud of the partnership they have created with the Foodbank because “We are both working to support communities across our state by understanding Arkansas’ needs and obstacles while developing the solutions and service to promote economic advancement.” She explains that Bank of America will continue their support of efforts to create more sustainable and successful communities.
Bank of America has been a large financial supporter of our work to end hunger in Arkansas, but their employees have also provided thousands of volunteer hours over the years. They expressed how volunteering with the Foodbank is always a lot of fun because they work as a team and can see all that’s been accomplished at the end of the day.
Through their partnership, Bank of America has supported the transportation of food across our 33-county service area by sponsoring one of our fleet trucks. Our trucks, drivers, and warehouse team play a critical role in ensuring the food we receive at the main warehouse in Little Rock can be transported to families in even the most rural parts of our state. Heather says, Bank of America is “happy to help cover the cost of delivery, maintenance, and transportation logistics because it is a service line item that is often overlooked despite being a critical component of the overall operation.”
This partnership has also been eye-opening for the team at Bank of America, shedding light on how pervasive food insecurity is in our state. However, through the support of partners like Bank of America, we are providing much-needed food to families affected by food insecurity.
Thanks to Bank of America for their continued support and advocacy for the mission of our organization. We could not do the work we do without you!
