Arkansas Foodbank’s Day of Giving Returns on April 8th
After a record year of food distribution in 2020, the entire Arkansas Foodbank staff would agree that our accomplishments during the pandemic were only possible because of PEOPLE LIKE YOU.
Donors gave more. Volunteers worked mobile distributions. Staff put in overtime to pack boxes. Retail partners helped us fill the gaps. Partner agencies had to think outside of the box.
Which is why the last 12 months paint the perfect picture of communities coming together to make sure children, families and seniors had the food they needed to survive.
But we’re still fighting. More people than ever before are facing uncertainty when it comes to making ends meet – and we know it’s going to take a while for them to get back on their feet. Typically, when funds are tight, food budgets are first on the chopping block.
On Thursday, April 8, you’ll have the opportunity to make sure our neighbors don’t have to sacrifice food for warmth, health, or other expenses that life brings. No one should have to go hungry, and Arkansas Foodbank, along with its partners, is working hard to make sure that doesn’t happen.
Mark your calendar to give – every dollar has the power to provide hope in the form of food for five meals.
Where to Give:
You’ll have the opportunity to direct your gift to one of four areas:
- Food For Kids
- Food For Seniors
- Food For Families
- Greatest Need
Our goal is to provide 250,000 meals for those in need. Every $1 donated = food for 5 meals!
