December Corporate Partner of the Month: Bank OZK

Our friends at Bank OZK are our corporate partner of the month for December! For the last 20 years, they have generously supported our mission to provide food and hope to Arkansans facing hunger, providing more than 595,000 meals. Bank OZK is committed to being a good corporate citizen and partner within the communities they serve, and we are honored to have them as a corporate partner.

Lasha Marshall, CRA Manager at Bank OZK, says their investment in our organization “is critical to alleviate hunger for our Arkansas families so they can thrive.” This partnership has also allowed Bank OZK to increase their reach in the community while also serving their neighbors.

Reflecting on our long-standing partnership, Lasha recalls the vital role Bank OZK played in our response to the COVID-19 pandemic. “With limited time to plan, the Foodbank was swift in responding to the increasing needs of individuals and families facing a food crisis,” she says. Thanks to key financial assistance from Bank OZK, we were able to provide increased support to our 33-county service area and provide more than 100,000 much-needed meals.

This relationship has also been transformational for Lasha and the team at Bank OZK by deepening their awareness of food insecurity in our state and increasing their gratitude for the work Arkansas Foodbank does. Lasha explains, “Even today, our employees are seeking opportunities to support the Arkansas Foodbank, through coordinating food drives and setting up volunteer teams to sort donated food items.”

From sponsoring one of our fleet trucks to encouraging their employees to get involved, Bank OZK’s commitment to fighting hunger in central and southern Arkansas has made an incredible impact. We are continually in awe of the ways Bank OZK continues to help us provide food for families in need, and we are thankful to have such a generous partner in the fight against hunger.
