September is Hunger Action Month

Learn more about all the ways you can support and get involved fighting hunger this September below!

What is Hunger Action Month

In 2007, Feeding America launched Hunger Action Month to rally the nation around one powerful idea: hunger is solvable when we act together. Every September, communities across the country unite to raise awareness and take action — and this year, the need is greater than ever.

Arkansas now ranks #1 in the nation for food insecurity. That means more families, more seniors, and more children are going without the meals they need.

But here’s the good news: you can help change that.

Whether you volunteer, donate, share a post, or simply start a conversation — every action counts. This month, we’re calling on you to stand with us and fight hunger in your community. See our upcoming events below!

Hunger Action Month Events:

Arkansas Rice Day – September 9th

In honor of Hunger Action Month, the Arkansas rice industry has once again partnered with Arkansas Foodbank to make a meaningful impact in the fight against hunger. This annual donation from rice mills across the state helps stock shelves at food pantries and supports families facing food insecurity.

Arkansas rice growers are proud to give back to the communities they help feed. Their continued generosity reflects a deep commitment to nourishing neighbors across the state!
