Hunger Action Month 2021
September is Hunger Action Month and we’re taking the next 30 days to focus on what’s possible for families facing hunger in central and southern Arkansas.
Making families don’t have to sacrifice meals for bills? It’s possible.
Making sure no child has to skip a meal? It’s possible.
Making sure seniors have consistent access to food? It’s possible.
Food Shouldn’t Be an Impossible Choice
When facing a situation that feels impossible to overcome, it’s easy for our neighbors to lose hope, feel discouraged and stress about how they’re going to make it from one day to the next. The important thing to remember about hunger is that it persists – not only do 1 in 5 Arkansans face hunger, but they’re not sure where their next meal is coming from. To survive, people need food every day – and that presents what could feel like an impossible situation when the future looks uncertain.
But in a world where plenty of food is available, the Foodbank works to make sure an impossible situation is turned around so that kids, seniors and families have enough food to eat. Every day. At every meal. In every household we serve.
With your help – Arkansas Foodbank is using September to focus on what’s possible for Arkansas families facing hunger. Food doesn’t have to be an impossible choice!
That’s where the work of the Foodbank, its partners, volunteers and supporters come in. We’ve dedicated ourselves to a solution, and we’re inviting you to join us. This month, you can use your voice, commit your time or make a gift to ensure families no longer face impossible choices. Take an action and become a possibilitarian! #HungerActionMonth
