May Corporate Partner of the Month: Arkansas Farm Bureau
Arkansas Farm Bureau has been a dedicated and committed partner of the Foodbank’s for over 16 years. Throughout this time they have presented the Arkansas Foodbank’s signature event, Empty Bowls, for six years, have provided countless hours of volunteer service, and donated a record contribution for the company to the foodbanks of Arkansas in 2020 to support pandemic relief efforts. Last year, Arkansas Farm Bureau was awarded the Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation of the Year by the Arkansas Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals as a result of a nomination by the Foodbank.
“Farm Bureau has long been supporters of the important work of the Arkansas Foodbank,” said David Moore, senior vice president and general manager of Farm Bureau’s insurance companies in Arkansas. “We are appreciative of the amazing benefits the foodbanks in Arkansas provide to our citizens.”
“The correlation between agriculture and food has created a natural partnership between the two organizations for many years,” said Sarah Riffle, Chief Development Officer of the Arkansas Foodbank. “Not only are they generous financial supporters, but Farm Bureau and their employees support so much of the work across our state to enable farmers to have a voice and continue to thrive.”
We at the Foodbank are so grateful for the employees of Farm Bureau for all they do to support farmers across the state, but also the care and compassion they continue to show to Arkansas families facing hunger.
