Many events the Foodbank puts on like our Telethon, and Central Arkansas Restaurant Week enlist the aid of our ambassador volunteers! They may help us in delivering informational packets, helping at a tabling event, and more!
AMBASSADOR GUIDELINES
What we expect:
- At least 18 years old
- A one-year commitment to this role
- Complete at least 50 volunteer hours with the Arkansas Foodbank (this may include regular volunteer shifts, special events, or community engagement)
- Attend annual training and refresher trainings as needed
- Represent the Foodbank in a positive and professional manner, including but not limited to attire, behavior in public interactions (during and after normal business hours), and on social media
What you’ll gain:
- Tracked and verified community service hours
- Official Ambassador nametag and shirt
- Invitations to community events afforded to Arkansas Foodbank leadership only (press conferences, groundbreaking, leadership roundtables, limited opportunity events)
- Professional development
- Free Arkansas Foodbank event access when committing to volunteer for an event
- Opportunities to interact with staff and board of directors
- Relationship-building and networking opportunities that are deep and meaningful within the group, with other members, and with the community at large
- Opportunity to be publicly recognized as Ambassador of the Month (based on monthly hours served) and/or Ambassador of the Year
