SNAP

 

 

SNAP, formerly known as Food Stamps, provides benefits to supplement a family’s food budget for eligible families so they can have access to purchase healthy foods. 

This program is administered in Arkansas by the Arkansas Department of Human Services.


WIC

WIC, the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, is administered in Arkansas by the Arkansas Department of Health.

Eligibility for WIC includes women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum, as well as infants and children under age 5 who meet the program’s income guidelines, live in Arkansas, and are nutritionally eligible.
